A young Argyle ball boy can claim an assist for Argyle’s late second goal against Portsmouth due to his alertness and speed.
Diving to the ground to grab the ball and quickly throw it to right back Gary Miller. This allowed Miller to equally respond to take a quick throw in to Latvian defender Nauris Bulvitis, who sent in a deep cross, which reached Ben Purrington. The left back played the ball tot he edge of the Portsmouth area, where Connor Smith struck the ball beautifully into the net.
Any delay on the throw in may have ended in a very different outcome!
